Job Description

We are looking for a Traveling Electronic Security System Engineer to join delivery team for a federal integrator. This person will be traveling about 90% of the time - typically for 3 weeks at a time, then will be home for 1 week.

The client is designing and installing electronic security systems across the country for federal customers. The Systems Engineering team based in Huntsville will order and program equipment in their lab before shipping out to site to be installed, however, this position would be traveling to site to help oversee installation and ensure that all programming and configuration is done correctly so that the systems are fully functional.

Responsibilities include:

Lenel OnGuard Systems Engineer to join the team immediately. This position does require the ability to get a government security clearance - up to a Secret level. This is an ONSITE role, with the potential for a remote day every now and again. There is a potential for this position to travel between 5-10% in a year.
These projects are focused on upgrading intrusion detection systems, access control and minimal video management systems.

We are looking for someone with strength programming and network configuration with Lenel OnGuard programming and Vindicator Windows 10 and VICADS.

Responsibilities:
- Testing panels, spot updating programming in field, troubleshooting with technicians if issues arise, re-testing devices and panels
-Assists in the configuration, commissioning and documentation of all system and network-level controllers as required.
-Assists in validation of complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation
-Perform hardware engineering, software engineering and network level commissioning for Federal Security Projects

Required Skills & Experience

- Lenel Onguard certification Lenel S2 Certification
o Must be recent and have experience working with Lenel programming / integrations in the last year
- Honeywell Vindicator certification - Windows 10
- 5-10+ years of hands on technical experience with Lenel system integrations, configuration and programming / network administration
o Experience troubleshooting network and application level problems
o Experience with software engineering Lenel panels integrating with video surveillance and intrusion detection
o Experience designing and configuring access control, camera/video management systems, intrusion detection systems for federal customers

Ability to get a Secret level security clearance is required!
