Job Description

A client in the Huntsville area is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team. This person will be working on an R&D program they are putting into production. They will be spending 50% of their time writing work instructions and planning and 50% of their time on the floor with technicians giving guidance. This is currently a team of 6 that is growing quickly!

Required Skills & Experience

5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience

Experienced reading and writing work instructions

Able to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, and test procedures

Familiarity with lean systems and methodologies

Familiar with Manufacturing execution systems/software (MES)

Bachelors in STEM from accredited University

Ability to travel for 1-2 weeks within the first 2 months on the job for training purposes

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Experience supporting Turbomachinery (i.e. turbo pumps, turbo engines, turbo for automobiles

3D modeling experience

CREO CAD software experience

GDMT experience

Hands on experience in hardware manufacturing (i.e. castings, forgings, additively manufactured components, welding, machining, cleaning, non destructive test methods, tight tolerance assembly, lead testing, final acceptance testing of integrated hardware, etc)
