Job Description

A client is seeking a Mechanical/Test Engineer in Huntsville, AL. This person will be responsible for writing test procedures and plans. Including not limited to:

Acceptance test plans, factory acceptance testing

Qualifications testing

Commissioning plans

Periodic tests and inspection plans

Maintenance procedures

Test fixture design

Test reporting and data analysis

This also includes light CAD modeling using Solidworks.



The is testing mechanical systems in very early design phase. The Tester will look at the design, understand the goal, look at the requirements, and develop the test procedures to verify that we've met the requirements to make the systems work. Experience needs to be at both a large system and smaller component level.

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of experience creating test procedures in nuclear, DoD, or airworthiness industry

Experience testing design of mechanical systems

Experience writing and executing test procedures to show product is safe and approved for manufacturing stage

Ability to read understand manufacturing designs/drafts

Ability to gain clearance

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Nuclear experience, NQA-1
