As a Design Engineer you will be obtaining design qualifications and supporting the development and implementation of design changes for various plants for a large nuclear utilities client in the southeast. You will be developing and maintaining technical knowledge regarding AP1000 electrical systems and equipment design. The goal of this role is to support develop, implement, and maintain the programs, processes, and procedures as they relate to plant and it's functions.
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering (ABET accredited)
* Electrical I&C experience
* Nuclear Power Plant design/retrofit experience
* Working knowledge of regulatory requirements regarding commercial nuclear power plant design
* Experience with system troubleshooting, problem solving, and causal analysis
* Unescorted plant access
* Commercial nuclear power plant experience in electrical design, modifications, and/or systems engineering
* Knowledge and understanding commercial nuclear power plant regulations, codes, and standards is desired
* Knowledge of AP1000 highly desired
