Job Description
A client in the Huntsville, AL area is seeking a HR Manager who will assure all matters of Employee/Personnel policy and procedure meet current acceptable practices and are within corporate guidelines, company policies, Federal, State and local regulatory regulations. The incumbent is responsible for compensation and benefits, Affirmative Action and EEO compliance, training, employee relations, recruitment, shareholder placement, performance management processes, conduct management processes, return to work programs, FMLA compliance, and worker's compensation compliance. The incumbent manages and provides support for all HR staff members performing these functions.
Specific Duties will include:
-Develops, implements, and maintains written personnel policies and procedures within corporate guidelines
-Implements and monitors the Affirmative Action and Equal Employment Opportunity plans. Ensures compliance with all requirements of Executive Order 11246
-Ensures all hiring and recruitment practices comply fully with Federal, State and local law, current security requirements and corporate guidelines
-Conducts labor market wage and compensation research as directed by the Project Manager and/or Corporate HR and makes recommendations on wage scale adjustments. May assist in compensation communication
-Responsible for benefit administration at the site level; assist Corporate HR by following established benefit administration guidance. This includes health and welfare plans, 401k plans and other company provided or sponsored benefits
-Directs and ensures SCA, DBA, CBA contract wage and benefits compliance
-Develops and oversees the administration of employee morale and training programs
-Oversees and manages the creation and maintenance of all contract Job Descriptions
-Oversees and manages all personnel file processes and all processes that govern personnel changes, updates, disciplinary actions and compliance regulations.
-Oversees and manages all processes to ensure return to work, worker's comp, FMLA, recruiting, employee relations, and other HR programs/processes are properly implemented.
-Oversees, manages, supports, and directs the duties of all departmental personnel to maintain departmental compliance and effective functionality. .
-Maintains a good working relationship with the site appointed AFSO/CSSO and assists in the implementation of all Department of Defense (DOD), National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), and customer specific security processes
-Establishes and maintains good working relationships with Government and internal customers
-May occasionally be required to operate Government and/or company-owned motor vehicles
-Adheres to the established company safety personnel and standard operating procedures and policies
Required Skills & Experience
-5-7 years of HR experience
-3 of those years need to involve managing HR personnel
-Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource or related field
- Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance
