A client is seeking a Navigation Guidance and Control Engineer in Huntsville, AL. This engineer will handle all aspects of autopilot and navigation components for hypersonic missiles. The candidate will support production and test of flight hardware along with developing the equipment and tools to support the production process. The candidate will support/oversee development of test equipment and test processes as well as review of test results. This includes working with other IPT areas to collect and review data and assisting with Technical Data Package documentation of missile flight computer components. In addition, the candidate will need to support equipment installation and testing during AI&T process, including troubleshooting and potential onsite repairs/rework. The candidate will assist in preparation of RFP for component manufacturing, including parts management, quality, and documentation, and establishing test requirements along with providing supplier surveillance during manufacturing and testing to include Non-Compliance Reports and quality issues. Work will be conducted in an integration/production facility along with a laboratory environment.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field
5+ years of relevant experience
Experience with Ethernet, communications, Pulse Code Modulation and CAN bus
Experience with Navigation Guidance and Control electronics
Experience documenting designs, assisting with Technical Data Packages (TDP) and supporting production and test of flight hardware or navigation control components
Experience in electronics/avionics/environmental testing
