Pharmacist in Charge

The Manager/Pharmacist in Charge oversees and evaluates the financial status of the company, communicates with the corporate office as needed on issues of finance, performance improvement, sales, or clinical implementation of therapies. This individual provides clinical pharmacy services to the company and consumers through the appropriate evaluation of physician orders, compounding of sterile preparations, and safe and efficient dispensing of medications, supplies, and administration equipment. The pharmacist in charge may supervise the activities of pharmacy support personnel, as well as quality control and performance improvement procedures. Key Responsibilities:1. Pharmacy Operations & Compliance ? Oversee daily operations, ensuring all practices are in line with state and federal regulations.? Ensure that the pharmacy and its staff adhere to all regulations, guidelines, and best practices for home infusion therapies.? Manage pharmacy inventory, ensuring proper storage, handling, and disposal of medications and supplies.? Handle record-keeping, documentation, and periodic audits to ensure compliance and high-quality care. 2. Patient Care ? Oversee the preparation and dispensation of medications, ensuring accuracy, safety, and the highest standards of care.? Collaborate with healthcare providers to customize and optimize medication regimens for patients receiving home infusion therapies.? Provide medication therapy management, patient counseling, and education related to home infusion therapies. 3. Leadership & Team Management ? Lead, train, and mentor pharmacy staff to ensure a cohesive and efficient team.? Promote continuous learning, keeping the team updated on the latest in-home infusion therapies and technologies.? Address any staff concerns, conflicts, or performance issues in a timely and professional manner. 4. Stakeholder Collaboration ? Liaise with healthcare professionals, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and quality care.? Provide consultation to the school staff and families regarding speech-language development and its connection to the curriculum. Participate in school-based teams for students with speech-language needs. Demonstrate competency in the use of formal and informal assessment tools. Identify students appropriate for speech and language services based on individual needs and prescribed guidelines. Complete oral and written reports in a clear and concise manner using recommended formats and timelines (i.e. assessment reports, quarterly progress reports, etc.). Develop and implement appropriate goals for IEPs, IFSPs, and Service Plans that are directly related to students? documented needs. Implement research-based intervention techniques, differentiated instructional strategies, and assistive technology to meet students? needs and learning styles. Maintain accurate speech-language student records and therapy logs with relevant data to document student progress. Complete Third-Party billing accurately within the mandated timelines. Participate in ongoing professional development related to the field.
