Informing nurses or physicians about the patient\u0027s condition and potential issues is crucial. Additionally, you\u0027ll obtain and meticulously document patient and pertinent family history. Your diagnostic support duties encompass taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and tracking diagnostic results. When assisting physicians, you\u0027ll prepare, position, and monitor patients during various diagnostic examinations, such as lumbar punctures, colposcopies, and sigmoidoscopies. Conducting laboratory tests, recording and reporting results, and performing treatment procedures--such as sterile dressing changes, administering medications, and inserting catheters--are part of your responsibilities. You\u0027ll also ambulate patients to different areas within the facility, including Radiology, various clinics, and physical therapy.
