They will join the Interiors Team.This role requires strong mechanical engineering fundamentals to review work from product designers and conduct validation testing. Testing will include comprehensive failure analysis, and the engineer will develop a robust strategy to identify and understand failure modes. Responsibilities include completing root cause analysis and collaborating cross-functionally with California-based engineers and the test lab.The engineer will frequently coordinate with suppliers and test labs, occasionally traveling onsite. They will communicate with suppliers regarding concerns and execute test procedures on parts. Additionally, they will work with suppliers to implement improvements and relay findings back to the product designers through data analysis and conclusions.Approximately 10% of the time will be dedicated to independent optimization proof-of-concept projects.Responsibilities? Create/Draft DFMEA?s and DVPs to achieve best-in-class structural, NVH, Reliability and crash performance from conceptualization to mass production.? Apply first principles for accessing feasibility and root causing failures.?
