This role combines hands-on leadership with technical expertise, coordinating personnel, equipment operators, and trucking logistics to meet production goals, maintain safety standards, and ensure compliance with project specifications.Essential Duties and Responsibilities? Supervise and direct grading crew activities, including excavation, embankment, fine grading, and subgrade preparation.? Interpret project plans, blueprints, and survey stakes; verify grade accuracy and alignment with specifications.? Coordinate with project managers, surveyors, and trucking dispatch to maintain balanced site logistics and timely material movement.? Plan daily work assignments, equipment needs, and crew staffing to achieve schedule and productivity targets.? Conduct weekly safety meetings and enforce company and OSHA safety protocols.? Train and mentor operators and laborers on grading techniques, equipment operation, and quality standards.? Monitor work progress to ensure proper drainage, slopes, compaction, and tolerances.? Inspect work zones for quality control, erosion prevention, and environmental compliance.? Maintain accurate daily reports, including quantities, equipment hours, and labor tracking.? Communicate effectively with project management and field teams to resolve operational issues.? Coordinate with subcontractors, utility locators, and trucking operations for safe and efficient workflow.?
