The Cost Accountant is responsible for standard costing, variance analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and month-end close activities within a manufacturing environment.Daily Responsibilities: ?Review, maintain, and update standard costs, including periodic cost rolls and annual updates; ensure consistent costing methodologies?Analyze actual manufacturing costs vs. standard costs, including PPV, POV, absorption, labor, and overhead variances?Prepare and post journal entries, support month-end close, review balance sheets, and ensure accurate cut-off procedures ?Support manufacturing budgets and forecasts, including short- and long-range operating objectives?Provide financial analysis and reporting related to gross margin, labor, overhead, and inventory ?Partner with operations to drive cost reduction initiatives, including material cost savings, capacity utilization, logistics optimization, and working capital improvements ?Assist with capital investment modeling, tracking costs, savings, and ROI for manufacturing initiatives?Support ERP-related activities (SAP preferred), including product costing modules and reporting accuracy?Participate in SOX support and internal control activities as needed PR: $30-35/hrWe are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
