A client of Insight Global is seeking a Project Food Safety Manager to support plant operations by ensuring all sanitation processes, food safety protocols, and SOPs are effectively developed,... implemented, and validated. This individual will review and maintain sanitation procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance, lead validation efforts to confirm all processes meet standards with no failures, and identify environmental swab sites while supporting plant teams in execution. The role will also manage ad hoc food safety events and deviations, ensuring proper documentation, corrective actions, and continuous improvement. On a day-to-day basis, this person will participate in early morning food safety and quality review meetings with R&D and plant stakeholders, investigate product defects by partnering directly with operations on the plant floor, and collaborate with line leadership to resolve sanitation and quality gaps. They will also develop resource plans for sanitation efforts and plant clean-ups, while balancing hands-on plant involvement (including swabbing and validation support) with office-based responsibilities such as writing SOPs, maintaining documentation, and ensuring all processes remain audit-ready and compliant. This role requires a strong cross-functional presence, working closely with operations, quality, and R&D teams to proactively address food safety risks and drive consistent product quality.
