Insight Global is looking to hire a senior drafter & modeler at the checker level to be a Model Based Definition (MBD) Engineer. This candidate will join a large commercial and military aircraft... manufacturing company onsite in Middletown, CT. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of drafting/modeling experience OR experience in a product definition/model-based definition environment, with the ability to review and check models as well as integrity of drawings. The candidate will have a strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards such as ASME Y14.5. The MBD Engineer will support multiple military and commercial programs, meaning they must be comfortable working with cross functional engineering and design teams as well as possess the ability to obtain a security clearance. The candidate will follow a design checklist and spend time reviewing detailed models, translate design intent, review product definition and be involved in change management support. - Verify complete accuracy of parametric 3D Siemens NX models and definition.
