This team delivers advanced control systems and digital solutions for power generation and industrial applications. The Commercial Application Engineer (CAE) plays a key role in supporting sales efforts by developing competitive, technically sound proposals and ensuring alignment with customer requirements and business objectives. Specific responsibilities include, but aren\u0027t limited to:Review customer specifications, drawings, and RFQs; prepare compliance tables.Act as the primary technical contact for proposals, guiding customers and internal teams.Lead the quoting process for core and complex control system offerings.Develop tailored solutions using standard design tools, technical libraries, and system configurations.Estimate costs accurately and assess technical, execution, and commercial risks.Coordinate with supply chain and third-party vendors for extended scope pricing.Work with sales and pricing teams to define competitive strategies.Consolidate financials and present proposals for internal approvals.Ensure timely bid submissions and compliance with internal processes.Participate in customer meetings, negotiations, and technical presentations.Support project handover from inquiry-to-order to execution teams.Contribute to process improvements and maintain proposal templates and best practices.This is a fully remote, year-long contract with the potential to be extended up to 18 months and to convert into a permanent employee for the client. Hourly pay is $48-50/hour with flexibility depending on skillset and experience.
