Insight Global is looking for a Buyer for a client in the oil and gas industry in Midland, TX. This person will be supporting procurement of materials and services for all business units in West Texas, Southeast New Mexico, and Mid-Continent. They will be performing routine purchase orders. The individual will require strong communication and negotiating skills, as well as a great attention to detail.

Required Skills & Experience
Coordinating procurement of materials, equipment, and services using correct procurement methods
Negotiating with vendors and suppliers regarding orders
Supporting accounts payable efforts, being the subject matter expert on procurement related issues (payment resolution and invoicing issues)
Managing the materials requirement planning (MRP) in SAP or similar procurement software
Coordinating timely bulk purchases based on the changing needs of the business
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Prior experience with one or many procurement systems like SMART, SAP, and ERS
Prior experience in buyer/procurement role in the oil/gas industry
