Job Description
We are seeking a Field Technician to join our team in Southern Texas, supporting projects across the San Antonio, Austin, and Houston areas. This role involves extensive field work with 100% travel during the week (overnight stays required) and returning home on weekends. Candidates must be comfortable working independently in open field environments and maintaining a professional presence while representing the company.
Key Responsibilities
Perform field data collection and mapping activities for utility projects
Utilize GIS and mapping technology to support design and engineering teams
Work with utility infrastructure, overhead equipment, telecom, fiber, and land surveying tasks
Ensure compliance with safety standards while working independently in the field
Maintain accurate records and submit reports as required
Collaborate with project teams via Microsoft Teams
Schedule and Compensation:
Standard hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Flexible schedule: 4x10s available
Travel expenses covered: meals, hotels, company vehicle provided
Company-provided vehicle for field work
Paid travel expenses (meals, lodging)

Required Skills & Experience
Ability to read and interpret maps
Proficiency with GIS and mapping software
Valid driver’s license and clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record)
Strong safety awareness and ability to work independently
Utility field work
Overhead equipment handling, Telecom and fiber installation support will suffice
Land surveying
