One of our large clients is seeking Critical Facilities Operation Technicians to join their team permanently in the Memphis Metropolitan Area. Relocation assistance will be provided.
Operate and maintain facility systems for supercomputing datacenter builds. This hands-on role involves maintenance, operations, and repair of facilities related to all Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems.
Responsibilities:
Ensure site safety and environmental compliance for MEP infrastructure, adhering to local and regional health and safety regulations.
Provide operational expertise for MEP systems at the datacenter facility, including pumps, piping, chillers, cooling towers, CRAH units, wiring, lighting systems, generators, motors, water supply, UPS, and switchgear.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure performance measures are met and proactively report facility issues.
Write and execute Method of Procedures (MOPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Emergency Operating Procedures (EOPs).
Be available for occasional on-site emergency calls during nights and weekends.
Perform daily inspections of critical systems.
Identify and maintain spare parts inventory to minimize downtime.
Coordinate and supervise scheduled system shutdowns.
Develop and implement energy monitoring metrics.
Support commissioning efforts by witnessing equipment startup, assisting with functional testing, and monitoring construction progress.

Non-Negotiable - must be able and able to work a fixed rotating schedule (12 hour shifts, INCLUDES NIGHTS).
Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Military background or relevant experience acceptable in lieu of)
3+ years of experience in a hands-on in a critical facility role, power or high voltage mechanical role
Knowledge of PLC (programmable logic control)
Strong troubleshooting experience
Experience with extremely high voltage
Experience creating OR following / knowledge of MOP, EOP, SOP
Experience in Mechanical (chiller, cool tower, pumps, refrigerator**, power generator, HV gear, Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), step down transformer
