Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Security Engineer (AVP / Associate AVP) for a leading global financial services firm in New York, NY. This individual will join the firm’s Information Security team, focusing on cloud security, automation, and AI risk evaluation.
This is a hands-on engineering role where the ideal candidate will help build and enhance security automation, support a multi-cloud environment (Azure-focused), and evaluate new technologies—particularly AI tools—to ensure they meet security standards.
Key Responsibilities include:
Design, build, and maintain security automation workflows using Python and PowerShell
Integrate and optimize security tools using APIs and automation platforms (e.g., Tines)
Support cloud security initiatives across Azure (primary), AWS, and GCP
Monitor and improve security posture across a diverse enterprise environment
Evaluate new software and AI-driven tools for security risk, including data exposure and access controls
Partner with engineering and operations teams to validate secure implementations
Contribute to vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response efforts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate findings clearly to stakeholders

Required Skills & Experience
3–6 years of experience in security engineering, security automation, or related field
Hands-on experience with Python scripting (required) and automation/orchestration
Ability to read, write, and interpret code for security use cases
Experience across multiple security domains (cloud, network, SIEM, endpoint, or identity)
Strong knowledge of cloud platforms, especially Azure
Experience with APIs, integrations, and security tooling
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with Tines, Okta, Wiz, or AppOmni
Familiarity with SIEM tools (e.g., Panther) and endpoint/security platforms
Exposure to Zero Trust architectures and enterprise security frameworks
Experience with Microsoft stack (M365, Power BI, Power Automate)
Background in application development or DevSecOps
Exposure to AI security or governance
