ASIC Test Engineer

The ASIC Test Engineer will be responsible for developing, validating, and managing test solutions for Application-Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs), ensuring they meet stringent quality, cost, and performance standards from prototype through production. This highly specialized role involves creating test plans, writing test code, collaborating with external test houses, overseeing production ramp-up, and driving yield improvement strategies such as multi-site test solutions. Acting as the technical interface between customers and test partners, the engineer will also support ASIC qualification processes and compliance with reliability standards. Candidates should have an Electrical Engineering background with expertise in IC testing, wafer-level test, and boundary scan, along with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills. We can pay between $100 - $125/hr.

• Education: Primarily Electrical Engineering (EE). * Also Acceptable (with caveats): Biomedical Engineering (must have an emphasis on EE), Bioengineering (ideally with a Master's in EE), Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science (if extensive LabVIEW and applicable experience).
• 5 plus years of relevant experience
• Hands-on experience with ASIC testing including wafer-level test and boundary scan.
• Proven ability to develop and validate test solutions in collaboration with external test houses.
• Experience managing production ramp-up from prototype to manufacturing.
• Strong analytical skills for yield analysis and cost improvement strategies.

• Background in companies like Intel, Qualcomm, or startups developing custom ICs.
• Familiarity with multi-site test solutions to optimize production efficiency.
• Experience acting as technical liaison between customers and test partners.
• Knowledge of ASIC qualification processes and reliability compliance standards.
