In this role, the Business Analyst will be working for a global hotel chain. There is an application rewrite focused on event execution at hotels globally for Enterprise Operations. This is a heavily used application with a ton of very granular detail. They are building a BA layer into the product. The project has kicked off, research analysis is nearing an end, they were wanting someone in this role weeks ago, so this is a very urgent need. If this candidate is strong, they can sale tremendously within the organization and potentially come into a permanent role.
Position Summary
As a Business Analyst supporting internal enterprise applications in the Sales and Events space, you will play a key role in enabling data-driven decision-making and ensuring alignment between business goals and technical execution. The business analyst will work closely with product managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders to define requirements, analyze business processes, and support the development of enterprise digital products that enhance operational efficiency and user experience within the hospitality industry. They will take part in product conversations, documentation writing, process, input, taking research, product guidance to put that into documentation, and then present that documentation
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Product Managers and cross-functional teams to gather, document, and prioritize business requirements and user stories.
Translate high-level product goals into detailed business and functional requirements in JIRA.
Partner with Engineering and Design teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements and proper implementation.
Support the development and refinement of user epics and stories for agile workflows.
Analyze current systems and processes to identify areas of improvement or automation.
Support user research, stakeholder interviews, and data analysis to inform product decisions.
Support the measurement and reporting of product performance using quantitative and qualitative data.
Assist in creating and maintaining documentation such as process flows, data models, use cases, and test scenarios.
Facilitate communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and clarity.
Provide support during user acceptance testing (UAT), validating features against requirements.
Participate in and support Diversity & Inclusion initiatives within the organization.
English language fluency for both written and verbal communication

3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst or a Product Analyst (not a data analyst) or equivalent role in a digital or enterprise environment.
Demonstrated experience working with Agile development teams and processes is critical
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Either a BA who has supported enterprise applications from a product standpoint.
Must have worked in the digital space (not retail sites, but digital in that it is software, an enterprise system would be preferred).
Must be fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)
Experience working with development/engineering teams and product teams, being the liaison
Someone who can manage meeting with the product design teams, and IT engineering teams
Ability to communicate directly an concisely in person and in BRDs
Ability to work CST time zone
Bachelors degree in business, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
Background in digital web applications or enterprise software, preferably within hospitality or B2B sectors.
Familiarity with enterprise CRM, booking, or event management systems is a plus.
Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Adobe Analytics, and/or Splunk
