Job Description
Administrative Assistant to provide high-level support to Command Leadership at the Naval Health Research Center (NHRC) in San Diego. This role is essential to ensuring smooth daily operations and effective communication across the organization.
Deliver executive-level administrative and clerical support, including drafting, formatting, and tracking official correspondence.
Manage calendars, schedule meetings, and coordinate travel for senior leadership.
Maintain organized filing systems (digital and physical) in compliance with records management standards.
Prepare talking points, briefings, and presentation materials for leadership engagements.
Track deadlines and ensure timely submission of reports, packages, and correspondence.
Liaise with internal departments, higher headquarters, and external partners to support leadership priorities.
Assist with protocol duties and event coordination for command-level functions.
Ensure the office remains clean, well-stocked, and professionally maintained.
Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions and tasks.

Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience providing administrative support in Navy or DoD settings, ideally at the executive level.
Strong knowledge of Navy correspondence formats, staffing procedures, and routing protocols.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Navy administrative systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce polished, senior-level documents.
Exceptional organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Professional demeanor and confidence in working with senior military and civilian personnel.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Prior experience supporting Command Leadership or senior staff.
Familiarity with Navy administrative operations and command-level procedures.
Training or certification in executive administration or office management.
