Job Description
A distinguished University in Los Angeles is looking for a Full Stack Developer to join the engineering/development team within Enterprise Applications. We are seeking a skilled Talend Developer to join our team and take ownership of development initiatives involving enterprise data integration, database management, and API development. This role requires a self-motivated professional who can manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality technical solutions in a dynamic environment. 80% of the time this role will be dedicated to a project with Atrium for student meal plan system integration, and the other 20% of the time will dedicate to integration troubleshooting for other campus systems.
Responsibilities
· Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes using Talend Data Integration platform
· Build and optimize data workflows between Oracle and MS SQL Server databases
· Develop and integrate REST APIs within Talend for enterprise application connectivity
· Write custom Java code within Talend components to extend functionality and meet specific business requirements
· Troubleshoot and resolve data integration issues across multiple systems
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions
· Document technical specifications, processes, and system configurations
· Participate in code reviews and maintain development best practices
· Manage multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision

Required Skills & Experience
· Extensive hands-on experience with Talend ETL platform (Talend Studio) – minimum 2 years
· Strong proficiency in Java programming - there are existing integrations within Atrium
· Proven experience working with Oracle and MS SQL Server databases
· Solid understanding of REST API design, development, and integration
· Strong SQL skills, including complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization
Basic knowledge of AI prompting
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
· Previous experience with Atrium software solutions
· Familiarity with Genetec software solutions
· Experience with AWS cloud services like Amazon MQ
· Knowledge of data modeling and database design principles
· Experience with version control systems (Git)
Extensive experience in using AI prompting and AI agents to develop solutions - or proficiency in integrating ai with Talend Studio
