Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join a leading Aviation Manufacturing company as a full-time employee in Sidney, BC. The ideal candidate must be willing to work night shifts (Monday-Thursday, 4:30 PM - 3:00 AM) or weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM). This Machinist will be responsible for manufacturing components for the company's products, focusing on transforming raw materials such as aluminum and steel into precise parts using CNC equipment. A successful individual will have the ability to set there own piece and proof till complete. Plus a general understanding of programming, blue prints and modelling.
Relocation package is also available for any candidates that are willing to move to Sidney BC for the role.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have Skills:
Minimum 1.5 years of experience operating CNC Lathe machine with completed diploma/education
Minimum 5 years of experience operating CNC Lathe machine if no post secondary diploma/education
Ability to read blueprints and set pieces
Understanding of programming software for CNC Lathe machines
Understanding of modeling software

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Possession of a degree and/or certification in a relevant field (e.g., Certificate in CNC Programming, Red Seal certificate, Lathe Operator certificate, Mechanical Engineer etc.)
- Experience operating 5 Axis CNC machines
Specific experience with MasterCam and SolidWorks
