Job Description

We are seeking a Power BI Lead to drive the development, maintenance, and strategic use of Power BI across our enterprise. This role is pivotal in transforming our data into actionable insights for executive leadership and business units. You will manage a suite of executive-level reports, guide the transition from Tableau to Power BI, and help build a federated self-service reporting model.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead Power BI Strategy & Execution:

Manage the full lifecycle of Power BI reportingfrom stakeholder interviews to data sourcing, report development, and delivery.
Maintain and enhance a suite of executive-level dashboards, particularly in financial services (debits, credits, KPIs).
Ensure alignment with best practices in data visualization and storytelling.
Team & Process Leadership:

Act as the manager of a high-performing reporting function, with potential to lead 12 direct reports.
Collaborate with the tool owner (e.g., Sonny) to own and optimize the reporting process.
Partner with Tableau owners to ensure a smooth transition to Power BI.
Business Engagement:

Work enterprise-wide with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and deliver impactful insights.
Support training initiatives to promote Power BI adoption and self-service analytics.
Governance & Innovation:

Drive toward a federated self-service model while maintaining governance and data integrity.
Provide insight into decision-making through well-structured KPIs and performance metrics.

Required Skills & Experience

Experience:

58 years of experience in business intelligence or data analytics.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience building and managing a suite of Power BI reports.
Proven experience in financial services reporting is a plus.
Skills:

Deep understanding of Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and visualization best practices.
Ability to access, manipulate, and analyze data without needing to program.
Strong storytelling skills through data visualization.
Familiarity with Tableau and experience in transitioning to Power BI is a plus.
Leadership:

Experience managing or mentoring team members.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
