Job Description
We are currently seeking a Missile Flight Test Planner to assist with missile flight test resources planning, architecture development, and execution for the Missile Defense System (MDS) test program.
As a Missile Flight Test Planner your duties will include the following, but are not limited to:
• Perform assessments to determine the capabilities and readiness of instrumentation, launch and test support equipment, test ranges, ground and flight test safety systems, and test countdown documentation.
• Assist with developing test, range, and auxiliary sensor requirements and ensure they are reviewed and captured in the Universal Documentation System (UDS).
• Develop test resource architectures that will meet the customer requirements and objectives.
• Identify range and test resource conflicts with other MDA or non-MDA flight test schedules.
• Identify conflicts in the architecture for radar, optical, communications, GPS-based instrumentation, and telemetry coverage.
• Prepare schedules and coordinate deconfliction of test resource requirements with internal and external agencies.
• Assist the government with preparation and execution of planning meetings and working groups.
• Prepare briefings for formal reviews and other special topics. Work closely with analysts to oversee the telemetry link margin analysis (LMA) to ensure adequate telemetry coverage for the event.
• Travel is required for flight tests with potential deployments to Colorado Springs, CO; Vandenberg Space Force Base; White Sands Missile Range; Kwajalein; Wake Island; Kauai, HI; Kodiak, AK; or other test ranges.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant, applicable experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD secret clearance.
• Missile flight test experience, understanding of telemetry, radar, and optical instrumentation, and familiarity with missile test ranges (RTS, PMRF, VSFB, WSMR, etc.).
• Demonstrated expertise in applying program analytical principles and practices to developmental and operational programs.
• Experience providing planning, monitoring, acquisition, and implementation support for complex systems.
• Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in data and systems analysis.
• Ability to utilize, adapt, and develop analytic techniques and processes for both technical and administrative support activities.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and assist in solving complex problems involving test planning, integration, execution, and analysis.
• Experience establishing priorities and managing planning and readiness activities of MDS test events in accordance with approved Test issuances (e.g., CONOPS).
• Participation in all phases of program development, including concept planning, design and development, integration, testing, and verification at the MDS system, element, or component level.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• Experience with DoD testing desired
• Experience with DoD test execution desired
• Working knowledge of long-haul terrestrial and SATCOM communications, telemetry link margin analysis, Universal Documentation System (UDS), and cyber security a plus.
