Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental Specialist to sit ONSITE in New Berlin, WI for our electrification and automation customer. In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE. Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along our customers value chain. Responsibilities include:
Act as the primary liaison for one of three business divisions represented in an expanding facility.
Work with other HSE team members to drive a consistent HSE message across divisions.
Promote and ensure the health and safety of employees and protection of the environment through responsive and proactive HSE programs along with other members of the HSE Team.
Protect employees and the environment from incidents and hazards while ensuring compliance with regulations.
Aids the HSE Manager in strategic planning and tracking of progress through periodic metric monitoring.
Act as consultant to management in health, safety, & environment related issues.
Identify opportunities for improvement in the HSE program regarding compliance, management systems, and culture.
Develop, recommend, and implement appropriate corrective measures. Previous experience with management of electrical safety, material handling equipment, and third-party contractor safety programs preferred.
Maintain HSE management systems including training, control of documents and records, operational control procedures, and continuous improvement.
Support the incident investigation process to ensure proper root cause, corrective actions, and preventative measures are taken. Train and develop operations leadership in effective incident investigation.
Support sustainability initiatives and monitor energy, water, and waste consumption metrics. Develop, recommend, and implement appropriate controls to reduce use or disposal.
Establishes systems to ensure availability, reliability, and readiness of safety equipment, protective clothing, and devices; and first aid supplies.

Required Skills & Experience

- Certified Safety Professional

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelors or Associates degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, or similar OR relevant work experience
2+ years of directly related experience in a manufacturing/facility/construction/warehouse environment
Previous experience with management of electrical safety, material handling equipment, and third-party contractor safety programs
Strong verbal, written, analytical, and employee relations skills is required
Ability to interact effectively at all levels of the organization
