Job Description

An employer is looking for a Senior Cloud Developer in the Seattle, WA area. You will be part of the Digital Commerce engineering team which develops, deploys, and maintains microservices & integration solutions on AWS. This role has accountability to manage infrastructure as code, build and operate CI/CD pipelines, automate existing processes, and create a catalog of self-serve offerings to help development teams deploy faster to production. In addition to DevOps responsibilities, this role will also contribute to the design, development, and deployment of Java Spring Boot-based cloud-native microservices that power this company's global e-commerce platform. Daily responsibilities will include:
• Lead development and implementation of cloud-based technology solutions using relevant coding language(s)
• Conduct regular testing, debugging, and quality assurance reviews
• Act as subject matter expert for coding language(s) and solutions design
• Design and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines using tools such as ArgoCD to support rapid, reliable, and secure deployments of microservices.
• Create and maintain relevant documentation and conduct knowledge transfer activities

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering roles, with a strong focus on AWS cloud infrastructure and Pipelines
3+ years of hands-on experience developing and supporting Java Spring Boot-based microservices in a cloud-native architecture.
Deep understanding of CI/CD principles and experience building pipelines
Strong experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform Solid understanding of networking, security, and identity management in cloud environments.
Experience implementing observability practices using Datadog or similar platforms for metrics, tracing, and logging.
Familiarity with integrating DevSecOps practices into the software delivery lifecycle.
Exposure to AI/ML-driven tools or practices that enhance DevOps workflows
