This position is willing to pay between $115-130,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
Temporary 22-week project with potential for fulltime, permanent O&M support if the deployment goes well
The Field Engineer, Nutanix/CommVault mid-level position begins with assisting in the installation and configuration of hardware and hypervisor-based software in support of a large-scale federal government enterprise environment. The Field Engineer will assist in the implementation of CommVault in a Nutanix based infrastructure within a 22-week window. The role requires extensive knowledge of Nutanix-based infrastructures and familiarity with CommVault data protection tools. This position supports government innovation by leveraging cutting-edge technology and fostering cross-functional collaboration.
This position will primarily require remote work, but the successful candidate must be willing and able to travel to Oregon and Mississippi, as required. The successful candidate will primarily work according to EST/EDT hours but must be available to support during outages as required.
Responsibilities -
Configure, integrate, and secure complex backup, recovery, and storage products over WAN.
Create and maintain optimal backup, restore, and redundancy solutions for critical data.
Review, plan, and participate in executing regularly scheduled maintenance on the backup/recovery infrastructure.
Troubleshoot complex backup and recovery problems including networking, application, server, hardware, and appliance-related issues.
Provide analytics, usage, capacity planning, and reporting within the Commvault management and monitoring solution.
Implement regular security updates and patches to backup application servers and appliances according to federal requirements.
Work with operation teams to develop and support enterprise infrastructure processes, tools, and environments.
Provide customer support with problem solving and fielding operational questions.

Experience with LAN, WAN, Nutanix, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and databases.
Experience with DISA STIGs and applying them to Commvault-related systems
Experience designing and implementing multi-site backup solutions
Ability to perform security-related tasks including documentation, vulnerability scan review, assessment support, patch management, and auditing
IAT II or IAT III certification
7-10 years related experience
Ability to travel to various sites, worldwide, as required
US Government issued clearance at Secret level or higher
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to regularly lift at least 25 pounds.
Strong knowledge of Commvault data protection application
CommVault Certified Engineer
Working knowledge of SAN and Cloud storage systems such as EMC Unity and PURE Storage.
