Insight Global is currently looking for a System Administrator to join a large financial client of ours in Salt Lake City, UT. This position will be onsite working 4 -- 10 hours shifts on-site in Downtown SLC. In this role you will be joining a new frontline resolution team designed for supporting the NetApp / NAS storage infrastructure. You will be responsible for managing tickets in relation to a current NetApp 7 Mode migration to cDOT, monitoring the system for alerts, and some resolutions from support calls. As a frontline resolution specialist you will work the tickets to completion when appropriate and escalate to tier 3 when needed as well. Any ITIL certifications are a big plus, along with problem management and configuration management experience.
* 2-5+ years of experience in system administration supporting Linux or Windows machines
* Troubleshooting performance issues, network issues, file handles, file locking, TCP vs UDP
* Basic storage knowledge: mounting, differences between local and remote drives, users/groups/permissions, determining a bad HBA vs a bad cable, LVM
* Experience working off a ticketing system to provide support to systems or storage platforms
* Experience documenting processes for escalations and repeat errors / alerts
* Experience in an enterprise environment
* Experience using runbook procedures to solve storage incidents/ malfunctions
* Experience supporting a NetApp migration from 7 mode to cDOT
* Any ITIL certifications are a big plus
* Experience with Problem Management and Configuration Management
* Experience working with multi-national teams (coordinating between time zones)
