Job Description

A commercial refrigeration company is seeking an Installation Leadman to join their team. This individual is responsible for overseeing and performing the installation of commercial refrigeration systems while managing the day‑to‑day work of the crew. This role combines hands‑on technical work—such as installing walk‑in coolers and freezers, setting condensing units and evaporators, running refrigeration piping, starting up systems, and troubleshooting installation issues—with leadership responsibilities, including assigning tasks, coordinating daily activities, mentoring junior technicians, and ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and according to project specifications. The installation leadman serves as the primary point of contact in the field, working closely with project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and clients to resolve issues as they arise, maintain quality and code compliance, enforce safety standards, and keep accurate jobsite documentation related to labor, materials, and progress. Overall, the role is critical to ensuring refrigeration projects are executed efficiently, correctly, and to a high standard of workmanship.
