Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Site Manager to oversee construction and commissioning activities for a high-impact hydropower project in Niagara Falls, Ontario. This role is fully site-based and reports into project leadership while interfacing daily with OPG. The Site Manager will be responsible for leading all field operations, ensuring safe and timely execution across multiple concurrent workstreams. The ideal candidate brings strong leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, as well as a solid technical background in power infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities:
Lead and manage all site-based construction and commissioning efforts
Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure EHS targets are achieved
Ensure high quality of work, documentation, and reporting
Monitor progress to ensure timely project delivery and budget control
Provide technical direction to subcontractors, trades, and internal staff
Work closely with Project Managers, Technical Advisors, Superintendents, and Planners to meet project SQDC goals
Lead root-cause analysis and conflict resolution professionally and diplomatically
Represent the organization in day-to-day client meetings with OPG and other key stakeholders
Maintain visibility and ownership of field operations and drive workforce performance
Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge-sharing within the team

Required Skills & Experience

Must haves:
58+ years of experience in site management roles within hydropower, gas power, or turbine-based (refurbishment or new build) projects
Background in mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical disciplines
Experience leading multidisciplinary teams in an EPCM environment
Experience with project planning, cost control, schedule recovery, and team mobilization
Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Valid Ontario drivers license and full-time ability to work onsite in Niagara Falls
Must be eligible to work in Canada and pass background/reference checks

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Nice to haves:
Experience with Ontario Power Generation (OPG) or other major North American utility clients
Trade certification (Millwright, High Voltage Electrician) or Engineering degree with field experience
Familiarity with EHS and Quality systems, ideally GE Vernovas SQDC (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost) framework
Experience working within live hydropower plants
Ability to work extended hours (10-hour days, MonFri)
