Job Description

A client in the Cincinnati, OH area is seeking a QC Chemist for a 6 month contract to hire role. This company develops and manufactures proprietary chemicals for their industrial and commercial clients. The Chemist's main role is to support production by documenting all CoA (certificate of analysis). Their job is split % wise 60/40, where 60% of their time is spent on data entry and creating CoA's and 30-40% running all live testing on manufacturing batches and running all quality tests necessary. The lab will receive batches of wet chemicals daily and will be testing the raw materials such as oil and water. Some of the tests they will run are viscosity, PH, titrations, quench testing (density) and temperature related tests to complete a quality test. The team tests 30 to 40 batches a day. The Chemist will have to use critical thinking skills and follow all safety requirements. The shift will be onsite M-F 7am-3:30pm! They have to be open/comfortable with working one Saturday a month as needed and that shift will be 5am-1pm.

Required Skills & Experience

- 1+ years of experience working in a laboratory environment or with wet chemistry (internship or co-op experience will be acceptable)

- Bachelors degree in a Science related field (chemistry, wet chemistry, organic chemistry, science, etc.)

- Strong mathematical skills

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- CoA documentation experience

- wet chemistry experience

- Quality testing experience: titrations, PH, viscosity, or quench testing
