Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Jr. Application Support Specialist for one of our large retail food service clients. This role is a part of the User Support Services team and requires a strong technical support background along with an entry-level understanding of SQL. The VIS Application Support Specialist position is responsible for providing application support and services to corporate stakeholders and field associates. The Application Support Analyst will be troubleshooting self-service vending machines internally, mostly over the phone. They are the public face of the IT department and represent the user perspective in technical operations and project activities. This role requires creative problem solving/troubleshooting, strong organization skills, and the ability to "think outside of the box". The ideal candidate must be willing to work remotely on EST hours from 10am-7pm.

Required Skills & Experience

- Entry level SQL experience

- 1-3 years of progressive experience in end-user computing support and application support.

- Strong customer service background and phone presence

- Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Service oriented, collaborative approach to customers and peer relationships.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Apple operating systems.

- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook.

- Experience installing and supporting PCs, printers, peripherals, routers, etc.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- HDI Certified Support Center Analyst (SCA) preferred

- Experience with Zebra handhelds/printers

- Knowledge of vending applications and/or POS systems
