Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior DevOps Cloud Engineer to join a leading financial services company in Charlotte, NC or Detroit, MI. Provides key expertise in the development and enablement of enterprise analytics capabilities that provide clarity to our key success criteria. Designs and implements scalable solutions from available cloud services and analytics tooling as part of an enterprise platform to achieve specific business objectives. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert helping to lead a team of talented analytics engineers in the consolidation and refinement of our data architecture and business intelligence dashboards. Partners with cloud engineers, information security, core infrastructure teams and application developers to enable agility through best-in-class automation and infrastructure as code. Interested candidates should have deep hands-on experience with technical implementations for cloud and solutions, as well as the capability to deliver those solutions.

Required Skills & Experience

* Proficient in Python, including experience in back end or full stack application development

* Excellent understanding of software development principles

* Well-versed in Git -- Understanding of best practices around source control/source code management

* Strong SQL programming skills

* Background in data structures, business reports, ETL/ELT, RMDBS databases

* Comfortable building solutions, such as Power BI dashboards, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics

* 5+ years of overall industry experience, including architecting analytics solutions on premise or in AWS

* Experience in cloud architecture and related technologies

* Experience working on Agile Scrum teams

* Innovative mind-set -- an innate drive, passion, and eagerness to learn new technologies

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

* Amazon QuickSight

* AWS Glue, or similar experience

* Experience with AWS Infrastructure as Code -- CloudFormation or Terraform (preferred)

* Some Container Management experience with ECS Fargate, Docker, or Kubernetes
