Job Summary: Insight Global is looking to bring on an RTE for one of our largest financial clients in Jersey, NJ or Plano, TX. The Release Train Engineer (RTE) is responsible for optimizing the flow of epics/features and the value delivered by a smaller Agile Release Train (ART). This role focuses on serving the needs of the train to drive performance and growth. Key responsibilities include coordinating and facilitating ART ceremonies, managing dependencies across teams, and providing visibility into the health of epic/feature delivery and the overall program increment. The RTE ensures impediments to delivery are resolved quickly and protects teams from outside disruptions. Additionally, the RTE manages financials for the ART and assists with resource planning, while promoting and coaching the Agile mindset and principles to empower teams to become self-managing and fulfill their cross-functional potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Guide and coach teams on the Agile Release Train in Scrum practices and develop their understanding of Agile principles.
Define and enforce norms/agreements for the ART.
Coordinate and facilitate ART ceremonies (e.g., Backlog Refinement, PI Planning, ART Sync, PO Sync, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, Retrospectives).
Collaborate with the Product Manager to ensure a healthy product/program backlog.
Facilitate dependency management, risk management, and impediment removal for the ART.
Promote and facilitate communication and collaboration within the ART to support value delivery and PI commitment.
Provide status updates and reporting on ART plans, delivery, timelines, and impediments to stakeholders and leadership.
Ensure compliance with Enterprise Change Management and other policy requirements for technology solutions delivered by the ART.
Measure ART delivery, maturity, and performance, and review metrics with the ART to identify improvement opportunities.
Capture data to determine and track product funding and resource acquisition needs.
Collaborate with other RTEs in the portfolio.
Mentor junior Scrum Masters.
