Insight Global is currently hiring for a Java Tech Lead for one of our top Financial/Insurance companies located in the Des Moines, IA area. This Java Tech Lead will be tasked with implementing the company's new vendor platform FAST, collaborating with cross functional teams, testing code(Angular JS, Mulesoft) , executing any new features that need to be added, and working with the architecture team to understands features they are building for future planning. They are looking to bring this platform online to all of their Life Insurance policies. They will be working in cross-functional teams. The team operates in an agile environment with daily scrum meetings. This role will be moving to a full-time opportunity after the 6-month contract with room for growth within the company.
* Candidate must have 4+ years of experience as a LEAD and SME
* Candidate must have extensive professional experience as a Java full stack developer
* Hands on experience with Mulesoft
* Candidate must have professional experience working with Angular JS.
* Needs to have 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server for Database.
* Candidate must have 2+ years of experience building out Rest APIs.
* Professional experience working with COBOL.
* Professional experience with AWS or Cloud architecture
* Experience using Snowflake
* Professional experience working with FAST Life Insurance application.
* Professional experience working for a financial or insurance company.
