Job Description

• The key responsibility for the CAD Senior Developer is develop custom programs requested by the business and maintain the stability of the CAD product ecosystem as needed. This includes the Development, Testing, Training, and Production environments as well as a homegrown application launcher environments
• As a CAD Senior Developer, you will be responsible key in-flight projects and enhancements to the CAD ecosystem, not limited to projects such as OrderBuilder and Framebuilding and products such as SAGE, Post-Processing schedule tasks, Dispatcher Translations & Supplier Exchange
• As a CAD Senior Developer, you will be responsible for working closely with CAD Product Owners & End Users to coordinate and triage issues coming in from R&D engineers and solving them in a timely manner
• As a CAD Senior Developer, you will be responsible for leading the CAD IT Product Team to execute enhancements to the product in a scale Agile framework while maintaining best practices such as DevSecOps & Source Control, IT Security through CyberArk, and onboarding automation with SailPoint
• As an additional responsibility, the CAD Senior Developer will work closely with Group R&D to coordinate between the brands to establish a OnePDP ecosystem and assist with the harmonization to Group R&D toolchain. This will include being a key part of data migration ETL (extract, transform, load), development of steady-state data transfer, and any integration development as part of Product Information Flow to support the organizations Modular Systems. This also includes working closely with companies brand & group engineers for training and user adoption.

Required Skills & Experience

• >5 years of experience in multi-CAD engineering environments, where you have worked as an automotive engineer building 2D CAD drawings and 3D CAD models in NX and CATIA, and SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and/or Creo as a plus
• 3-5 years of experience customizing CAD tools to build programs and utilities within the CAD & Engineering environments to auto-generate CAD models or calculate design context / positioning information through automation
• Strong skills with C++, Python, .NET Framework (C# is a must, Visual Basic & DOS Batch Programming / Powershell nice to have)
• Experience with DevSecOps & Agile methodologies, where you are familiar with key source control and CI/CD pipeline concepts, as well as participating in agile ceremonies and writing good agile epics, features, and stories
• Strong communicator - ability to speak with engineers at a technical level and translate that into key IT deliverables and functional/technical requirements
• Big picture thinker - clearly understand how the work you do contributes to the strategic direction of the company
• Leader & Collaborator - speaks up frequently when you see things that are wrong, effectively work with your peers in a safe environment, and works to manage leadership's expectations
