Job Description

An employer is looking for a Propane Technician to sit in Bethel, CT.

A propane technician is a skilled professional who installs, maintains, and repairs propane systems and equipment. Their work is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient use of propane in residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial settings.

Core Responsibilities
1. Installation
o Set up propane tanks, lines, and appliances (e.g., heaters, stoves, water heaters).
o Ensure systems comply with safety codes and regulations.
2. Maintenance
o Inspect and service propane systems to prevent leaks or malfunctions.
o Replace worn or damaged components.
3. Repair
o Diagnose and fix issues with propane appliances or delivery systems.
o Respond to emergency calls for leaks or equipment failures.
4. Safety Checks
o Perform leak tests and pressure checks.
o Educate customers on safe propane usage.
5. Customer Service
o Explain system operations to clients.
o Provide estimates and answer questions about propane services.

Required Skills & Experience

3-5+ years as a propane technician
HVAC or plumbing experience
Excellent communication and customer facing skills
Ability to set up propant tanks, lines, and appliances (heaters, stoves, water heaters)
Maintain service vehicle by reviewing maintenance record and perform pre/post trip inspections

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

G2 Plumbing License
CDL (Commercial Driver's License) class B with hazmat endorsement
Knowledge of gas codes and safety standards
