Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Director of Supplier Quality to join a manufacturing company based in West Hartford, CT. The Director of Supplier Quality will have oversight of all vendor management and quality communications. In this leadership role, this individual will work closely with the VP of Quality to drive the organizational initiatives and enhance continuous improvement efforts, product development, compliance and strategic planning. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Develop, implement, and manage supplier quality programs to ensure consistent quality performance.

• Conduct supplier audits and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

• Collaborate with suppliers on PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) requirements.

• Manage corrective actions with vendors when internal issues arise, ensuring timely resolution.

• Oversee the process for handling failures, including root cause analysis and corrective measures.

• Coordinate return of non-conforming products to suppliers and ensure proper documentation.
Perform timely inspection of incoming parts to maintain production schedules and quality standards.

Required Skills & Experience

• 8-10+ years of proven experience as a Supplier Quality Manager or similar role.

• Strong understanding of supplier quality principles and industry standards.

• Hands-on experience with PPAP and quality tools (e.g., FMEA, Control Plans).

• Excellent auditing skills and ability to develop supplier quality programs.

• Deep knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies (ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).

•Experience leading audits and navigating regulatory requirements.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills for managing vendor relationships.

• Experience in automotive or aerospace manufacturing environments.

• Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or standards.
