Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Desktop Support Technician to sit at one of our newest private equity clients. This candidate will be joining the East Coast End User Services team to help provide white glove service to other areas of the firm. This firm has doubled in size over the last 5 years and needs additional hands on deck to help support and keep up to speed. The team is looking for someone to that has at least 5 years of technical support in a financial institution, who has experience working with market data tools such as Bloomberg and Reuters. This is a windows shop so candidate should have knowledge of Windows based desktops and the kep applications like outlook, MS office suite, chrome, etc. This firms hardware is completely in the cloud so candidates should have previous experience working in a cloud environment, preferably AWS. This team is looking for someone who doesn't just answer tickets, they want someone who understands the impact ramifications that arise with certain issues and can work in a fast past environment. Candidates should also be comfortable being put in front of C Suite level executives.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5+ years of desktop support engineer in a financial institution
- Experience working with market data tools such as Bloomberg, Reuters, S&P 500, etc.
- Powershell scripting experience
- Experience supporting end user computing: Monitors, Keyboards, Mouse's, etc.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Windows based desktops and the key applications like Outlook, MS Office, chrome, firefox, etc.
- Understanding of VDI, virtual desktops, imaging workstations, deploying and troubleshooting break/fix hardware and peripheral
- End user-focused, excellent communication skills, and best-in-class customer support
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Prior trade floor support experience
