Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Facilities Engineer to join a leading midstream oil and gas client in Burstall, Saskatchewan. This role offers the chance to work on critical projects and operational initiatives in a dynamic field environment. The initial term is a one-year contract with strong potential for permanent placement.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, review, and stamp engineering documents, work packages, and site-specific designs.
- Provide technical support for maintenance, turnaround, and project execution activities.
- Lead or support initiatives focused on site safety, asset integrity, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with corporate engineering teams on feasibility studies, design enhancements, and project implementation.
- Champion Management of Change (MOC) and Work Execution processes using Maximo.
- Perform root-cause analyses and performance assessments to drive continuous improvement.
- Work closely with Operations, Maintenance, and Asset Integrity teams to ensure safe and efficient plant performance.
- Participate in short-term secondments with Operations, Planning, or Maintenance to gain integrated site experience.

Required Skills & Experience

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or eligibility upon hire.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in facility operations, maintenance, or engineering.
- Working knowledge of industry codes and standards (ASME B31.1/31.3, ASME BPVC Section I/VIII, API, NACE, CSA, ABSA).
- Familiarity with project management processes (PMP designation is an asset but not required).
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Ability to work independently in a field-based environment.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Prior operational experience and familiarity with turnaround practices.
- Previous experience in oil and gas processing or heavy industry.
