This person has experience in healthcare and working with insurance companies. Job duties consist of: - reviewing correspondence documents received in the CBO to identify type of correspondence received and follows the appropriate protocol. Review and scan correspondence into the OnBase system and selects the appropriate document type for routing. Processes returned mail by updating status in EPIC and update new addresses received via lockbox. Documents any request or concern received via mail, e-mail, telephone, written correspondence, or in person on the patient\u0027s account concisely, including future steps needed for resolution, in a prompt and courteous manner. Performs scanning, filing, data entry, and other duties as assigned. Support remote customer service staff by completing all mail, email, and fax requests. Accepts inbound phone calls from patients, early out and bad debt vendors, physician offices, insurance carriers, etc. within a specific response-to-call timeframe and with the intent to resolve the caller\u0027s concern immediately. *Collects patient payments and follows levels of authority for posting adjustments.
